Summer Plus 2022

The Summer Plus Program provides for the social, mental, and physical growth of the camper through a variety of activities and trips in a safe and fun environment.

Registration

Online Registration for all Summer Programs will open Monday, April 4, 2021 @      9 am via Community Pass.

Please make sure you are able to access your Community Pass  account prior to to registration. If you are unable to access your account, please call the Recreation Department during business hours at 973-428-2463.

Community Pass Instructions

Description

Summer Plus Program is offered as 3, two-week sessions for Hanover Township residents entering grades 1-6 in September 2022. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, special events and a weekly visit to the Bee Meadow Pool.

All 3 sessions are at capacity. 

Session 1: June 27- July 8 (No camp on Monday, July 4, 2022) 

Session 2: July 11- July 22

Session 3: July 25- August 5

Groups: Participants are divided into small groups led by head and assistant counselors.

Location: Black Brook Park 

Hours: 8:45am - 12:15pm. Drop off is no earlier than 8:30 am and pick up is no later than 12:30 pm.

Bee Meadow Pool:  Campers will attend the Bee Meadow Pool every Friday. On these days campers must be dropped off at the Bee Meadow Pool by 9am and picked up by 12 noon. 

U. S. Sports Institute: Included in Summer Plus. U.S Sports Institute is scheduled every Wednesday and Thursday. 

Inclement weather: In case of rain on special event days, the program will move to The Hanover Township Community Center. In case of rain on a pool day, the camper will receive a voucher to go to the Bee Meadow Pool on another day. One voucher per session.

No refunds for sessions participants cannot attend.

No refunds if Summer Plus is closed for bad weather.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures: Your child must be signed in and signed out of the program each day that he or she attends. This individual must be listed during registration. If none of the authorized individuals are able to sign in/sign out the camper, please provide a written note to your camper’s head counselor indicating the person designated to sign the camper in/out on that day. No camper is allowed to walk or ride his or her bike to this program.

Clothing: Participants are expected to wear proper attire and sneakers everyday. No flip-flops or crocs allowed!
