PICK-UP OF BULK ITEMS

The Hanover Township Department of Public Works (DPW) defines bulk items as any household item that cannot fit into a regulation garbage can such as appliances, furniture, and limited amounts of carpeting. Removal of such bulk items will be made by appointments only.
Please note the following conditions:
1) Carpeting - must be cut and tied into four foot bundles with a maximum of one 10X12' room per year.
2) Construction Material - is limited to four bundles per year.
3) Appliances -The DPW must receive evidence that the freon has been properly removed from all refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers prior to pick-up of these items.
Items may be placed at curbside the evening prior to your scheduled pick-up date in accordance with Sections 154.1 and 154.2 of Chapter 154 of the Code of the Township entitled Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse. Items left curbside are unsightly and violators may be subject to fines. Please also note that collection of bulk items may be suspended during the leaf collection season and during severe weather related conditions. All residents also have the option to bring their bulk items to the Township Garage at 25 North Jefferson Road Monday-Friday between the hours of 12:30pm-3:00 pm.
