Building Proctors

The Township of Hanover seeks part-time Building Proctors to work in the Recreation and Park Administration Department.   Building Proctors report to the Superintendent of Recreation and Park Administration and are  responsible  for overseeing the use of Department  facilities during non-office hours including  evenings and weekends.  Successful candidates must be 18 years of age or older, in possession of a valid N.J. driver’s license, be of good character and have excellent customer service and communication skills for heavy public contact.  Hours vary depending on events. Electrical Subcode Official/Electrical Inspector/Assistant ZoningOfficer/Property Maintenance Inspector

The Township of Hanover seeks a qualified part-time  Electrical Subcode Official/Electrical Inspector/Assistant  Zoning Officer/Property Maintenance Inspector  to work a maximum of 28 hours per week to enforce the electrical subcode of the State Uniform Construction Code and make electrical inspections within the Township of Hanover.  As needed, assists with zoning, property maintenance, and day-to-day operations of Building Department.  Must possess a current and valid Electrical Subcode Official/Electrical Inspector High-Rise and Hazardous (HHS) license issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and a valid and current New Jersey driver’s license.    Additional Construction Code licenses not required, but a plus.  No fringe benefits.   EOE/ADA.  Call Annette Luger at (973) 428-2470 for application, or click on the “Application” link below.  Completed applications, along with resumes and cover letters, should be returned to: Department of Administration, Township of Hanover, P.O. Temporary Deputy Court Administrator

The Township of Hanover seeks a Part-Time Temporary Deputy Court Administrator. Applicants should have experience in all aspects of court administration, including a strong working knowledge of the ATS/ACS computer system. Excellent customer service skills, attention to details, organization and self-motivation are a must.  Office hours for the part time temporary position are Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 10:00 to 4:30 pm and Monday nights at 5:00 pm for court. Hanover Sewerage Authority

Wastewater Laboratory Technician

The Hanover Sewerage Authority in Whippany NJ is seeking qualified candidates for the full time position of Wastewater Laboratory Technician.  Responsibilities include sampling and analysis of wastewater and sludge from various facility locations as required for compliance with the Authority’s NJPDES permit and process control purposes, quality assurance and quality control checks at required frequencies, instrument calibration and maintenance, proper documentation and recording of all data collected, maintaining adequate inventory of reagents and hardware, off-site sampling of dischargers to the HSA system and general housekeeping and upkeep of all laboratory areas and equipment.  Rotating weekend and holiday coverage is required.  Candidates must possess a valid NJ driver’s license and ability to communicate effectively.  Previous experience in wastewater laboratory or operations is preferred but not required.
