We have scheduled our first full session of Zumba on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 1st, from 6:15 - 7:15PM, at the Community Center. The fee for 1 night is $45, 2 nights is $75. Space is limited, so register early.

SENIOR GOLF OUTING (click for details)

This year's Senior Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday, May 5, 2008 (raindate 5/6) at Rolling Greens Golf Club. The event is open to all Hanover Township residents age 50 and over. Fee: $50

Pre-Registration is required at the Recreation Office by Friday, May 2, 2008, 4:30PM

TENNIS (Provided by First Serve Tennis Academy)

Tennis Instruction for all levels ages 7 - 16. Held at Blackbrook Park Tennis Courts from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fee: $80. Please bring your own tennis racket, ball will be provided.

Session Dates:

Session I: May 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22

Session II: June 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19

KIDDIE TENNIS LESSONS (Provided by First Serve Tennis Academy)

Introduction to Tennis for ages 3 - 6. Held at Blackbrook Park Tennis Courts on Wednesdays,

May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 11, and rain date of 6/18. FEE: $75.

KIDDIE TENNIS 1 - (Ages 3 & 4) Children with limited or no tennis experience. Fundamentals of strokes, grips and footwork are covered as well as fun tennis games.

4:00 - 5:00 PM

KIDDIE TENNIS 2 - (Ages 4 & 5) Learn general coordination skills. Fundamentals of strokes, grips and footwork are covered, plus games.

5:00 - 6:00 PM

Groups will be formed based on age and ability. Fully certified professional staff of teaching pros and former college players. All rackets, balls and specialized equipment for small children are provided.

Hanover Township's Annual Fishing Contest are coming up soon!

Malapardis Fishing Contest (co-sponsored by Cedar Knolls Fire Dept. & First Aid Squad) will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 - Noon.

Bee Meadow Fishing Contest (co-sponsored by Whippany Fire Company and American Legion Post 155)

will be held on Saturday, May 10th, from 9:00 - Noon.

ACTOR'S GARAGE

Whether your child is interested in acting or not, this is the program for them! In this workshop style class, children will learn valuable skills such as problem solving, public speaking, self-esteem, team work and resilience, in addition to acting techniques such as concentration, relaxation and improvisation necessary for TV, film and commercials. This program is open to Hanover Township residents from K - 8th grade (Groups will be separated by age. Program runs for four consecutive Mondays beginning June 30th at the Community Center. Grades K - 3 from 1:15 - 2:45 and Grades 4 - 8 from 3:00 - 4:30. Fee: $85
