Pre-School and Kindergarten Programs

Kids on the Go: This parent participation program is designed to develop social skills through fun, free play time in an informal setting.  You will enjoy an hour of songs, crafts and group games with your child.

Mondays beginning April 12 (10 weeks) - June 21, 2010

No Class on May 31

9:30 - 10:30AM - Birth to 36 Months/10:30 - 11:30AM - Ages 3 - 5 Years Old

Held at the Community Center   Fee: $30        

 

 

Wiggles & Giggles: An exciting program for children 1 - 4 years old and their parents.  So much fun packed into just 45 minutes!  Join your child for structured games and activities that will develop social as well as motor skills.

Fridays beginning April 16  (10 weeks) - June 18, 2010

Ages 12-23 months - 9:15 - 10:00/Ages 24-45 months - 10:00 - 10:45/

Ages 36-47months -10:45 - 11:30/Age 4+ - 11:30 - 12:15

Held at the Community Center    Fee: $40      

 

 

Sport Squirts:  A program designed by the US Sports Institute to introduce Pre-K through Kindergarten children to a variety of sports designed to work on hand/eye coordination, balance, agility and movement, all key factors to the early development of children.

7 WEEKS
Ages 3-5 - Tuesdays 4/20-6/1 - 12:30 - 1:30PM
Ages5 & 6 - Fridays 4/23-6/4 - 3:30 - 4:30PM
Held at Blackbrook Park - - In case of inclement weather, class will be held at the

CHEF IT UP!

Chef It Up 2 Go is coming to Hanover Township!  Open to boys and girls in grades K - 3.  Participants learn precise measuring, liquid and dry ingredients, different cooking terms and the best part is what they will be making.  All participants receive a chef's hat and a detailed menu of what is made at each session.  CHEF IT UP 2 GO IS PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE & CAN ACCOMMODATE MOST FOOD ALLERGIES.

5 Week Session beginning Saturday March 13 - April 10, 2010

Grades K-2: 10:30-11:15AM

Grades 3-5: 11:30 - 12:15

Held at Monroe Hall - - 324 Whippany Road

School Age Programs

Karate: (Kindergarten - Adult) Do you have what it takes to become a black belt!  This sport teaches discipline, determination and confidence.  Children progress through various levels of proficiency and are awarded different colored belts at the completion of each level.

Mondays, beginning April 12 - June 7, 2010  (8 weeks)

Art & Advanced Art: You will be joining our instructor Mrs. Mount to learn the fine points of drawing. All skill levels welcome.  For ages 7 & up.  In order to take advanced instruction, a prior recommendation from the instructor must be given.

Thursdays, beginning April 15 - June 17, 2010  (10 weeks)

3:30 - 4:15 PM

Supplies Needed: Spiral Pad (No Lines), Pencils, Eraser, Markers, 

Advanced Class Only: Water Color Pencils, Pastel Chalks

Art-Rageous Crafts: Enjoy working with wood, mosaic tiles, canvas board, foam board, paints, craypas & yarn as you create your own project each week.  Projects may include an elephant foam core clock, wood tile art, self portrait, picture frame and 3D sculpture.

Adult Programs

Boot Camp: Boot Camp is a no-nonsense, fat burning class that combines cardio, strength training, and core training all in one great 45 minute class!  Whether you want to lose weight, increase strength and endurance or just have more energy, this class is for you. you can train at your own pace, beginner to advanced, but be prepared to sweat! Taught by degreed, certified personal trainer

Zumba:  A dance based exercise class that is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system.  Routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Yoga: This program is designed for you to learn the relaxation techniques necessary to become a calmer you.  A system of exercise for attaining well being of body, mind and spirit. Adults 18 and over.

Senior Fitness:   One hour of mild exercise, stretching and toning for residents 60 years of age and older.
