2022 Patriotic Celebration
The Hanover Township Recreation Department will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, and reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022. No pool registrations will be taken after noon on June 30. The Dial A Ride office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hanover Township Recreation is pleased to announce that its annual Patriotic Celebration of Fireworks is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Municipal Complex on North Jefferson Road beginning at 6 p.m.
Rain Date: Friday, July 1, 2022. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Please bring a chair/blanket for seating.
For safety reasons, anyone viewing the fireworks is urged not to walk across Route 10 to reach a viewing area. There are several nearby parking lots as well as areas where residents may park and catch a complimentary bus to/from the fireworks. Hanover Township Recreation encourages viewers to use the complimentary bus service.
With pre-fireworks festivities beginning at 6 p.m., there may not be time to have dinner. With this in mind, several vendors have a “special permit” to sell food and beverages at the Patriotic Celebration. Click here for more information about food trucks.
Activities and Entertainment begin at 6 p.m. and end with the fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Fireworks are launched from Veterans Field, across from the Municipal Complex. As a result, Papermill Drive and the Veterans Field parking lot is considered the “drop zone” for fireworks and are not open the night of the event. The annual fireworks display are the highlight of the evening and the spectacular finale is worth the wait.
