Additions to Residential Neighborhood Services

As of January 13, 2015, all Hanover Township residential neighborhoods will have their sanitation collected with the new state-of-the-art automated sanitation trucks. This includes the following condominium developments:

  • The Grande at Hanover
  • Oak Ridge at Hanover
  • Sunrise at Hanover

2023 Garbage Pick-Up Holiday Schedule

These changes only affect the route specified - so if your garbage is not picked up on Mondays, the changes won't affect you (except for the Thursday Whippany routes for the Thanksgiving holiday)

  • Presidents Day: Monday pick-up will be on Tuesday, Feb 21st 

  • Memorial Day: Monday pick-up will be on Tuesday, May 30th

  • Independence Day: Tuesday pick-up will be on Monday, July 3rd. 

  • Labor Day: Monday pick-up will be on Tuesday, Sept 5th

  • Columbus Day: Monday pick-up will be on Tuesday, Oct 10th

  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday pick-up will be on Friday, Nov 24th

  • Christmas Day (2023): Monday pick-up will move to Tuesday, December 26th

Placement Times

Household garbage, recyclables, or grass clippings cannot be placed at the curbside before the following times on the day before collection day.

Removal of Receptacles

All sanitation and recycling receptacles must be removed by the following times on collection day.
