Patriots' Path

The Patriots' Path is a trail-and-greenway system in southern Morris County - and beyond - which links federal, state, county, and municipal parks, watershed lands, historic sites, and other points of interest.

Most of the hiking, biking, and horse trails lie along the corridors of the Whippany, Black, and Raritan rivers. The Patriots' Path stretches from East Hanover, where it connects with the Lenape Trail in Essex County to Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Sussex County, intersecting with the Columbia Trail in Washington Township.

Patriot's Path is a part of both the September 11th National Memorial Trail and the Liberty-Water Gap Trail.

Connect Hanover

Connect Hanover is a trail plan that will establish a town-wide network of bicycle and walking paths that will link key areas across the Township such as parks, residential areas, office buildings, the municipal complex, and the County library. The first phase was completed in 2017 with future phases planned.

Bee Meadow Pond Nature Trail

The Bee Meadow Pond Nature Trail is a new trail to be constructed around the two outer brickyard ponds located within Bee Meadow Park. Construction of the Nature Trail will occur in two phases.

Phase I is currently under design and will provide the opportunity for residents and visitors to the park to walk along the interior edge of the two outer ponds. Phase II will be a natural extension of the trail bringing walkers, anglers, strollers along the exterior edge of the two outer ponds.

The Bee Meadow Pond Nature Trail will offer residents and visitors a beautiful, wooded pathway along a scenic, secluded corner of the park which had previously been inaccessible to park visitors.
