Cut-Through Traffic Evaluation – Cedar Knolls (Trailwood Section)

As requested by the Hanover Township Governing Body, Dynamic Traffic has performed an analysis of various roadway configuration alternatives for the Trailwood/Countrywood Neighborhood. Linked below is the resolution approving the recommendation made and the complete study performed by Dynamic Traffic:

  • Resolution 61-2022 (PDF) - A resolution of the Township Committee of the Township of Hanover in the County of Morris and the State of New Jersey accepting and approving the recommendation of Dynamic Traffic to implement alternative "A" establishing a one-way out route for traffic along a portion of Forest Way to a new cul-de-sac to be constructed on the American Road in the Borough of Morris Plains.
  • Dynamic Traffic - Traffic Impact Study - Cut-Through Traffic Evaluation Located at Cedar Knolls (Trailwood Section) Township of Hanover, Morris County, NJ (PDF) - As requested by the Hanover Township Governing Body, Dynamic Traffic has performed an analysis of various roadway configuration alternatives to reduce existing Neighborhood Thru Traffic (a.k.a cut-through traffic) and to limit traffic volumes associated with a future residential project that may cut-through the Trailwood/Countrywood Neighborhood. This evaluation included an analysis of existing traffic volumes, existing cut-through traffic, school bus routes, neighborhood access, and neighborhood road grades, among other items.
